Not sure what the reasoning behind this one was. I’ve read commentary where the authors speculate there was a pagan ritual that had men and women “cross dressing” but none of them ever cite textual, archaeological, or anthropological evidence in support of that conclusion.
Just know that it’s there and that most of the people who despise homosexuality (though admittedly not all) don’t seem to have any trouble with women wearing pants, t-shirts, suits, and what have you - even though the Bible says they’re committing an abomination.
